My boys are soooo into Knock, Knock Jokes lately. In the car, at the dinner table, in the bathing tub, they can't appear to get enough of them. So, I thought what better manner to get them involved in Valentine's Sidereal day so to make this year's Valentines all about Knock, Bang Jokes.

Concept: I came finished with this cunning idea while sitting at a wedding reception. My boys were so into these little 2x2x2 edge boxes and the fun contents inside. Don't these little boxes just say, "explicit Pine Tree State?' Especially when it says: "Knock out, Belt"!! I set up my boxes at a great storage/container store called XPEDX the boxes were 25 cents. Check at your local storage/container put in, wedding party surgery craft store for boxes.

Filling Valentine: Fill box with yummy V-Day confect and cute knick-knacks. When I took these photos, I used what I had on hand, which were itty weeny nail polishes and glaze. For boys, I was thinking miniature dinosaurs, elastic balls, even quarters (my boys bang $).

Making "Wrapper": At my local anesthetic scrapbook stack away I bought roughly simple valentine paper. I figure the 12 by 12 inch paper would "Wrap" at least 7 boxes. Cut paper 2″ by 10″ and "Wrap" boxes clear just about having the 1st and 5th sides overlap and paste. "Wrapper" should easily slip on and off boxwood.

Placing Joke: I found this jape on a kids web site and thought it was pretty cute. When it comes time for making my boys class valentine's we will either choose our darling joke from the web site or compensate our own!

Arsenic the child opens the box the joke is revealed, the answer being tucked inside the box seat with the treats. My boys (ages 9 and 5) and I successful few of these Valentines…. they loved making the loge and of of course filling it with treats and surprises. We had a little of a line sledding and I helped my 5 year old bond the words, but with a handy clue stick and the words pre-printed out information technology was a cracking for my 9 twelvemonth old.

Other Ideas: If you have a baby younger than five this would be a flawless present/craft to generate to grandparents, playmates, Daddy Beaver State Mommy. You might even Lashkar-e-Taiba them decorate the boxwood with markers and/or stickers to help them personalized it. My preschooler and third grader are planning to make decent for their classmates at school day.
